"Are We Servant Of India..." Ramiz Raja's Huge Remark On Asia Cup Fiasco

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah had recently announced that India won't travel to Pakistan to take part in the 2023 Asia Cup, and also proposed the idea for the tournament to be held at a neutral venue. Following the announcement made by Shah, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had also threatened to pull out of the ODI World Cup, which will be held after the Asia Cup in India. Sharing his views on the same, Ramiz Raja, who was recently sacked from his role as the chairman of PCB, pointed out past incidents when teams refused to play in Pakistan, citing security concerns, and what happened next.

Ramiz urged the board members not to bow to India's demands and show some leadership.

"What is leadership? When Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has asked Pakistan to host a tournament and then India say they won't travel to Pakistan and shift the tournament to a neutral venue, what should be the response? Are we servant of India just because they are a world power in cricket? Should we listen to everything they say?)" Ramiz said on Dunya News.

The 60-year-old feels that the Pakistan team and the fans deserve much more respect than what they are getting right now.

"We will think, will we get isolated, we'll ask permission from the government then talks will move further. These are not signs of good leadership. The Pakistan cricket team is enjoying a great run, you have a good fan following, you have superstars, so please give your team and fans the respect they deserve," he added.

156.7 Kmph Sensation Awaits India Debut, Bangladesh Start Life After Shakib

Pace sensation Mayank Yadav is expected to unleash his raw speed while the absence of India's T20 regulars will provide another opportunity to the fringe players in the three-match series against Bangladesh, beginning here Sunday. Having consistently generated speed in excess of 150kmph in his maiden IPL earlier this year, Mayank had drawn the attention of the cricketing world before a side strain ruled him out of the tournament. Usually, one has to prove fitness in domestic cricket to be considered for national selection but the 22-year-old has been fast-tracked into the side considering his special talent. The series against Bangladesh will be a test of his fitness and temperament. It is yet to be figured if he can display the same accuracy and control that he exhibited in the IPL. Besides Mayank, fellow Delhi pacer Harshit Rana and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy could also make their India debut over the course of the series. Nitish was picked for the Zimbabwe tour post the T

RCB "Will Just Retain Virat Kohli, Release Everyone Else": Ex-India Star

The Board of Control for Cricket in India released the IPL auction rules on Sunday. Each franchise can retain upto 6 players with Right To Match (RTM) option included in it. As the teams have started finalizing their picks ahead of the IPL 2025 auction, former India pacer RP Singh has passed a huge verdict on franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He said that the side will only retain Virat Kohli and release everyone else, relying on the RTM. Notably, Kohli is playing for RCB since the inaugural season of IPL. Kohli is the highest run-getter in IPL history with 8004 to his credit from 252 matches. He has scored 8 centuries, the most by any player in the tournament, and 55 half-centuries. "I feel they don't have any problem. They will just retain Virat Kohli, release everyone else, and use the RTM," RP Singh said during a discussion on Colors Cineplex. Given a total of 6 retentions, including RTM, are allowed, the IPL franchise can choose their combination for it. Howv

T20 WC Live: Netherlands Face Sri Lanka In A Must-Win Game For Dutch

Sri Lanka vs Netherlands LIVE Updates, T20 World Cup 2024: Netherlands may be out of the 2024 T20 World Cup even before their match against Sri Lanka ends, if Bangladesh beat Nepal. However, the Dutch need to beat Sri Lanka by a healthy scoreline to keep any hopes of qualifying to the Super 8 stage alive. The game also offers Sri Lanka a chance to get their first win, in what has been a hugely disappointing tournament for the 2014 champions. They would likely finish bottom of their group if they fail to win.
