Watch: LSG Owner's 'Animated' Chat With Rahul After 10-Wicket Thrashing

The KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants on Wednesday were quite literally thrashed by SunRisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024. The SRH, led by openers Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma power-hitting, chased down a 166-run target in just 9.4 overs. With 62 balls to spare, this was the quickest successful chase (100+ targets) in the history of IPL. SRH's 167/0 in 9.4 overs is also the highest that a team has ever scored in the first 10 overs in the tournament.

Needless to say, KL Rahul was a dejected man after the loss. "I am at a loss for words," Rahul said after the game. After the match, Rahul and LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka could be seen having an intense chat. The broadcasters captioned the interaction as: "Animated reactions from LSG camp."

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) opener Abhishek Sharma gave all the credit to his opening partner Travis Head for helping their franchise seal a massive 10-wicket win over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on Wednesday.

Abhishek played an unbeaten 78-run knock from just 28 balls at a strike rate of 267.86. He slammed 8 fours and 6 sixes while chasing the 166-run target given by LSG.

Speaking after the match, Abhishek heaped praise on Travis Head for taking the pressure off from the start of the run chase.

The 23-year-old revealed that the Sunrisers bowlers adviced the batters during the inning break and told them that the pitch was getting better for batting. He also thanked Yuvraj Singh, Brian Lara, and his father for helping him reach at this level.

"All the credit goes to him (Travis Head). The way he starts against all bowlers... he goes after them from the start and takes the pressure off. The bowlers told us (during the innings break) that it was getting better, but myself and Travis thought it was not doing much. I think the hard work I put in before the tournament is showing now, thanks to Yuvi Paaji, Brian (Lara) as well and my father, who is my first coach," Abhishek said.

Skipper Ashleigh Gardner starred with both bat and ball, leading Gujarat Giants to a comprehensive six-wicket win over UP Warriorz in their Women's Premier League match in Vadodara on Sunday. Gardner (2/39) claimed two wickets and then scored a stylish 32-ball 52, her second consecutive fifty, as Gujarat registered their first win of the third edition of the tournament, following a loss in the opening game to Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Opting to bowl, Gujarat produced a clinical effort with young spinner Priya Mishra returning impressive figures of 4-0-25-3. Skipper Gardner, Deandra Dottin (2/34), and Kashvee Gautam (1/15) also played key roles in restricting UPW to 143 for nine. Chasing 144 to win, the Giants were reduced to 22 for 2 with opener Beth Mooney and Dayalan Hemalata back in the pavilion after UPW introduced spin at both ends. However, Gardner produced an inspired knock, adding 55 runs off 42 balls with Laura Wolvaardt (22) to resurrect the innings. Gardner struck t...

The Vicky Kaushal-starrer movie 'Chhaava', based on the life and times of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj - the second ruler of the Maratha Confederacy and son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has received positive response from audience across the country. Apart from Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, Rashmika Mandanna (as Yesubai Bhonsale), Akshaye Khanna (as Aurangzeb), Ashutosh Rana (as Hambirrao Mohite), Diana Penty (as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum) and Divya Dutta (as Soyarabai) play prominent roles in the movie.   Former India cricket team star Aakash Chopra also liked the movie. He, however, raised some questions after watching the film.  "Watched Chhaava today. Incredible tale of bravery, selflessness and the sense of duty.  Genuine question—why were we not taught about Chattrapati Sambhaji Maharaj at all in school? Not even a mention anywhere!!!  We did learn though how Akbar was a great and fair emperor, and even have a very prominent road called Auran...
